As part of IT Synergy's work on designing, developing, and implementing the GIS-based Decision Support System [0] for the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, two papers describing the system were accepted to the Kuwait International GIS Conference & Exhibition, one discussing the merits of employing open source technology for GIS-based projects and the other describing the methodology leading up to the system design for a GIS project of this scale.
