Geo-traceability

Beyond the mere application of the law on the traceability, the project decided to introduce other concepts, in order to reach the final consumer with information that usually he hasn’t. When the consumer buys a product has to trust blindly the supplier, which will be responsible of the quality of the product and of the observance of the law.

Without undervaluing this important relationship that only a quality mark can guarantee, the project wanted to provide some information to the final consumer having access to internet:

a) Laboratory analysis with information about the organoleptic quality of the product and the absence of injurious elements;

b) Information about the methods used during the process of growth and ripening;

c) Information about the harvesting and the transportation of the product to the distribution centers in Italy;

d) Information and documents on the Geo- Traceability that allow viewing clearly the fields and the production area using also satellite images;

e) Socio-economic information related to the area and the producers.
