IT Synergy has been awarded a contract to provide geo-traceability solution for an important initiative in Italy.

In partnership with MAI-Bari (Mediterranean Agronomic Institute) and in collaboration with other prestigious institutions such as the Italian National Council for Research -CNR- and the University of Bari, IT Synergy will enable Italian producer to implement a complete traceability solution for for complex, transformed products such as bread and wine.

The Utilization of Geo-Trace will provide consumer with the possibility of having a complete history of the product they purchased, from the information of the production sites to the transformation process that brought those product to their preferred retailer.

Additional innovative technology, such as in-plant temperature and humidity monitoring will enable producer to customize the treatment each plant requires according their the specific environment and atmospheric conditions, reducing the excessive usage of biological or chemical elements required to control possible pests.

A user friendly GIS - Geographical Information System - will increase the value of the product establishing an evident relation with the territory.
